Make sure to use a comb while bathing to get the eggs off.  Dish soap not organic enough? Take a cup of boiling water and pour it over a sliced lemon. For even better results, score the lemon skin into the water as well. Let the mixture soak until it has cooled to room temperature and gently sponge it onto your animal. This mixture kills fleas immediately on contact. Fleas do not like cedar of any kind, so using cedar based shampoo, cedar oil, and sleeping mats that contain cedar chips will repel fleas from that area.
