camelot software for carpet cleaners beware

Please check out my first blog entry on this company camelot software this is the topping on the cake

Total Scam!...... Ok I am adding to the camelot software previous post I have made and for people in the cleaning industry to beware. I have recently purchased new computer and when reinstalling camelot software I WAS NOT RECEIVING THE CODES TO GET SOFTWARE UP AND RUNNING. What does this mean? I can not access any customer data and the last time I did a reinstall was back in Decemeber 2012 and they send your code to the email on file with camelot. Well when I did this last week was not getting a response. So I called them on day 3 with no customer info still! and I left 3 messages NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE UNLESS SALES.. and they told me this with a email reply finally which this email I will copy and paste for exact words, Now keep in mind they have my email on file which they sent codes too back in December and never received 1 phone call or voicemail ever!

Hi Steve,
We have been repeatedly contacting all of our clients on old versions for about two years now, by way of mail, email, and phone (to the extent our clients have kept their contact info current with us, eg. we had no valid email for you until your inquiry this week) to warn that the software is outdated, no longer supported, codes will no longer be available, and they are at risk of hard drive failure, etc. and that action should be taken immediately.
I saw where you had upgraded in January of 2012 but had requested a refund on that version.

The 2.x version of Camelot you are running is from 2003. There is no longer a coding system available to register any version of Camelot before version 3.x.

I am checking to see if there is a data migration option available on that version. I will email you when I have the information and cost on the service if it is available.

Where this is going basically is if I dont upgrade and pay thousands I love 10 years off all my customer data and there is no way to access it at all. This is a total scam and on top of it as you can see they still not have gotten back to me or even called me to make sure my company is a float. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. I am in the process of switching over to google everything because of this company why would I pay to stay when I know they are setting there company up to make you pay for upgrades when I purchased this back in 2003 They made it you buy your software outright and never pay again you own it. Now 10 years later they say sorry this software is old and were not giving codes and you SH!T OUT OF LUCK IF YOU DONT GIVE US YOUR MONEY.

This is the same thing as the tech support issues I had.. from the previous post and blogs I wrote. I had replied to them asking them to forward me the email they sent to me or when the phone calls where made and they have never replied still to me!... Wow never again When I was dealing with manager to find out it was the owner Steve Sloan asking him before that I would like to speak to owner he never replied or even said I am the owner because He knew he was caught in another scam on forcing you to buy the new upgraded software when I had no need to buy it because all the new things they offered i DID NOT NEED. LIKE MOBILE APP Which I used log me in and got to use the whole software not just there basic contact info and so on. Email a invoice in pdf which I used print document to microsoft .xps which turn into a email pdf automatically and He used that as a big plus on the upgrade when you can already do it but never mentioned it to any of hiss existing camelot customers. I am sorry but this is obvious and I am sorry but I have been working on pc's for almost 20 years and most carpet cleaners have not and he took advantage of that. Good luck and if you use camelot software be prepared to pay big bucks for support and future upgrades or lose all your data. Hope this helps people on what to choose when thinking purchasing camelot cleaning software.

P.S. THEY STILL HAVE YET TO GET BACK TO ME AND TRULY SHOWS THEY DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT MY COMPANY AND KEEPING IT UP AND RUNNING, RIGHT NOW I AM PAYING SOMEONE TO ENTER ALL INVOICES INTO MY NEW BUSINESS GOOGLE SOFTWARE.
