Pet Stain Removal and Maintenance
Pets are cute, cuddly and so very friendly and we love our pets with all of our
hearts but they can also be very messy and have unexpected accidents.
Some
messes pets cause are puking, urinating, pooping, and of course the hair. It
would be nice if pets could clean up after themselves but they can’t so we have
to.
If
you have a dog or a cat they usually go outside and well when it rains it
usually gets muddy and then the dog or cat will bring the mud back inside with
them. They don’t know any different so they just come running inside all happy
and sometimes get mud on things. If you know its raining and your pet is
outside you can prevent the mess by wiping them down with a towel when they
come back inside. This will help save your floors and furniture. If it does get
on the floor you can just use warm water and a rag to clean it up. It is best
to clean it up right away.
If
your pet sheds a lot the best cleaning tools are a vacuum, and some tape or
sticky rollers. You should vacuum regularly and you can vacuum your furniture
and use sticky rollers(lint rollers) to get hair off furniture. If you vacuum
around where your pet stays it will keep the hair to a minimum. This will help your family a lot also if they
suffer from allergies.
When
your pet has a poop accident or gets sick there are ways to clean that up also.
You need to act quickly because it could mean getting it cleaned up or possibly
having a stain. You need to use water to soak and remove as much as you can,
then wipe with water and vinegar to get smell out. Don’t brush hard because you
could damage the carpet. You should only use rags or soft brushes. If it is
really bad you can go to the pet store and get bacteria/enzyme digesters. They
help remove the stains and the smell. Make sure to read the directions
carefully. They work slowly then water and vinegar. You will have to keep this
stuff on the stain for a while since it is breaking the stain down and cleaning
at the same time. When your pet vomits you need to clean it up right away if
you can, because the acids that come out from the stomach will damage the
carpet.
We
also need to remember to take care of our pets. Brushing and bathing our pets
regularly will also make our cleaning minimal. Making sure their area is clean
too as in pet beds or crates. You should also make sure to give your pets the
proper food to keep them from getting sick. Training your pet to not go to the
bathroom in the house is also a good idea. Pets are a part of our family and it
is important that they have a healthy environment to live in too.
